Bingham's visit NYC Robyn, Peanut, and David came out for a short week or very long weekend. We burned up our metrocards seeing the Guggenheim, Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, McSorley's Ale House, Stomp, Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Preserve, the Empire State Building, the Comedy Cellar and a bunch of restaurants. Dave and Robyn were on their own the morning after they arrived. They
were up at four something Colorado time to head to the Statue of Liberty.

The four of us loaded on the redbird to explore together on Friday.

Central
park is a great place to start walking
We covered a New York Marathon worth of miles by foot, and Robyn had the blisters to prove it.
| We were lucky enough to get a table for the Friday afternoon jazz at the Guggenheim museum after our tour. |
We hit happy hour at Mc Sorley's Ale house, the oldest bar in Manhattan
Grand Central station where we were plotting a course of action for the rest of the day. |
Sue and Robyn were great sports for Ray and Dave going shutterhappy.
| They could have passed for native Manhattanites until Dave got his camera out. |
Dave was looking for a new watch while Robyn checked out their sunglasses selection. It still amazes us that you can get an authentic Rolex for five bucks
This one will have to go in Peanut's baby album. |
The carriage ride around Central park is something that Sue and I had always wanted to do. When Dave and Robyn found out they made us wait at the curb.
| Just kidding. They let us tag along. |
Real straphangers! You can only get away with this at three o'clock in the morning.

peanut welcomes Peanut to Times square.
Sue and Ray at Times square.
| We had a great day to hit the top of the Empire State building. It was grey enough that no one else was headed up, but it turned out that the visibility was about 20 miles. |
Dave got a couple of great movies that you'll be able to see on their website when we get the address.
This is not the Empire State building. |
It's the Chrysler building as viewed from the top of the Empire State building.
